The before !!!!

This is my 30 year old kitchen !

I've painted and camoflauged it over the years.

We replaced the appliances 16 years ago, when we bought the house.The stove top broke a few weeks ago. It's got to go.

This cabinet goes back into the wall. Things and critters get lost back there. I found mouse poop! ewwwww

It's time for this Kitchen to gooooo.

The great kitchen makeover started today. I am so tired. I packed up all the cupboards and threw away a ton of really old and yucky stuff. I ventured into the back of the bottom cabinets.I had to get a long spatula to reach stuff in the back of those cabinets. When the mouse droppings started showing up, I about passed out. I try to keep a clean house, but those cupboards are just a place you don't go. There were things in those dark cabinets that haven't seen the light of day in years.

Jerr and a friend from work took out one wall of cabinets tonight. The cabinets will arrive from Lowe's tomorrow. By Saturday the entire kitchen should be stripped. I'll start babysitting at Tori's since the kichen will be so torn up. There won't be any water in the kitchen.

I can't wait for it to get done. It's going to be stressful, but so worth it. The kitchen will still be small, but much more efficient. I'm getting too old to get on my hands and knees and crawl to the back of a dark cupboard to find my cookie sheets. Wow, if I can actually get my cookie sheets out of the cupboard, I might make cookies!!!
