My dear daughter #2, got me hooked on Stephanie Meyer's books when I was up helping with the birth of Sweet Baby James. I had to buy the "Twilight" series while I was in the big city. I couldn't wait for our library to get on the band wagon and get the book in. When I was at the library the other day I noticed on the desk a waiting list to read the forth book about a mile long and it won't even be out until August. I have mine preordered. Anyway, Stephanie wrote another book, that doesn't include Va
mpires. (okay, I have a thing for Vampires) It took me awhile to order it. I thought about checking it out at the library, but they only get one copy of every book, and there was a waiting list. Anyway, to make a long story short. I just finished reading "The Host". I was critical of the first few chapters. I have a tendency when a book starts out a little bit long winded, (ironic isn't it.) to read the end. (This is kind of lie, I almost always read the end, I like to sneak a look at my Christmas presents too.) I decided the book was a little bit predictable and started slogging my way through it. I was wrong, I couldn't put it down,I sprinted my way through it. I loved the book. I was crying at the end. Not the end I read. The other End. You have to read it to know what I'm talking about. I don't want to ruin it. Okay, dear niece Kassi, I apologize. You are right, this is a really great book. I can't wait for the next book in the twilight series. I still have a thing for vampires. I wish they'd bring back "Dark Shadows" (You have to be old to remember that one on TV) My new favorite TV show is "Moonlight".

I've been extremely sore and stiff today. I had a lot of pain this morning. But, the day has ended nice. We just had dinner topped off with banana splits. The girls played out in the water. Dear son in law Jesse moved the slide so that they could slide into the pool. Kylee pooped her diaper, (oops), which was bad because the neighbor had just brought her 18 month old grandson over to play with the girls. They left rather quickly.
But we just hosed everybody off. Kylee can really whip down that wet slide on her bare bottom.
I wish I had video. I'm sure its win "America's funniest home Videos". Maybe I'm prejudice.
They wouldn't show it anyway. Too much nudity.

I am happy you didn't give up on The Host!! I, like you love vampires and Edward will always be my man, but what about that Ian! haha He really just melted my heart. Maybe I am just a sucker! I thought The Host covered so much more then just being in love with someone and I think that is way I loved the book so much! I really hope she writes more to go along with that book.
Okay, I loved the Host as well... I cried as well! I blame it on my pregnancy, but really I'm just emotional! It gave me hope that the Twilight series will turn out the way I want (Jacob!).... I need to get that book preordered!
Dear Katie and Kassi, First of all Katie you are in real trouble with both me and Kassi. Jacob???? You've go to be kidding. I'm sorry it's Edward all the way. Jacob has to imprint on his mate. It would be a mess, and besides a hairy dog or a beautiful Vampire.
No contest. Your right Kassi the host is about the need for us to have opposition. The plan the
"souls" were following is the plan we rejected in the preexistance.
I really expected to have a thing for Jared. But, your right Ian is more my type too. I don't mean to start problems between cousins, but you might be sending each other hate mail when you read each others comments. Katie have you seen Kassi's tribute to "Edward".
Love you both. :) Aunt Norma
It seems that there are are few Jacob fans out there.
Katie just must not know the Edward we do ;)
Okay, if you guys like Ian, you should totally like Jacob. Both underdogs, both not the easy choice! If you read towards the end of the last book Jacob does imprint on her, but they both say that because the vampires were there it messed everything up- I will find you a page number!! Um, and we could stop at your house on our way to Albuquerque, but it would be between 7 and 7:30 in the morning... would you be awake?
No No katie you have it wrong sorry! But it says that if there were NO SUCH THING as mythical creatures they would be together. He dosen't actully imprint on Bella. He is just simply saying that if Vampires and Wearwovles didn't happen they would be together becuase that is the "natural" path her life would have taken. But as it says there was something out there that trumps that. And that was Edward (Sigh) I can see where you would want Jacob to imprint but I am afraid you were mistaken ;)
oh and I don't need a page number haha :)
I tagged you! GO to my blog to see what to do
I just came in to stop Kassi and Katie before a virtual fist fight breaks out!! just kidding. Want to hear a funny story? My sis-in-law Sarah bought The Host when we were on a trip together in Cedar around the end of May. She said for me to take it and read it first cause she was in the middle of another book. I told her I couldn't because I had WAY to much homework this semester but I took it anyway. I put it in a really good "out of sight/out of mind" place so it wouldn't tempt me while I got through some homework and now I can't remember where I put it! Seriously...I don't know where it is and if she knew that she might kill me. Haha.
Oh, and Go Jacob! (But I do think Bella will end up with Edward...who is great too...because she is one of those "I need/want to be taken care of" girls.) But I, personally was more attracted to Jacob. What a polarizing issue! My own mother and I do not agree on this!! haha!
WOW! WOW! Wow! Look what you started. If there is this much controversy I'm excited to read the host. Can I borrow your copy.
