Okay, so I'm in shock !

As is well known I am a huge "Dancing with the Stars" Fan. But, last nights show was such a disappointment. Where to start. Lets get to the elephant in the room. Cloris Leachman is still on the show?????!!!! I really love Cloris. I think she's an amazing actress, who has had a great career. She's 82 years old and can't hope to dance on the level of the younger stars. On the other hand Toni Braxton actually has some dance talent and deserved to finish higher in the competition. She was literally giving it her whole heart. I saw Toni interveiwed on "Ellen" yesterday, she wasn't pretending when she talked about how much she wanted to do well. I think the reason people get so into the show is because the "stars" find themselves getting so into it. If you watch you'll notice how mant stars return from other seasons, just because their hooked on the whole dancing experience. I'm realistic enough to realize that for the most part everythings a popularity contest. In the end every season "dance" has won out. I don't know what I'll do if "Cloris" wins this thing. The good news is she has actually gotten better, and it keeps us tuning in.

Next, lets talk about the huge production number. Such a big deal over such a poor production.
Its got to be the worse mess I've ever seen. I would have rather watched more Jr. ballroom dancers. (Poor kids). Are they having trouble booking acts? Where's the funny commentators, where's Jimmy Kimmel ???? Who was that big band that played? They featured "swing" dancing, couldn't they book "Big, Bad, Vodoo Daddy"?

Next, I've seen them be tough on some dancers, and a few times make comments to the pro's.
But hey, I think Lacey was about to cry. I was also dissappointed not to see "Benji" Schwimmer.
Asking Lacey to dumb it down because Lance couldn't keep up was just dumb. I've seen pro's dance around their stars, while they just stood there. (George Hamilton, Wayne Newton.......)
Lance wasn't keeping up, did she need to get dressed down for it.

It was fun to see the competition between Derek and Julianne. Julianne was sick last night and stayed in there like a pro. She went to the hospital after they danced. It would be fun if the final was between brother and sister. So I'll keep watching. I'm a fan. *sigh*
