I haven't blogged for awhile. Just haven't been in the mood to share I guess. Things have pretty been same old, same old, since Thanksgiving. This morning though was different. I looked out the window and there it was so clean and beautiful. The biggest snow flakes I've ever seen. It was like a true winter wonderland. I called the girls out of the basement where they were playing. Their eyes got so big. We hurried and put on coats and shoes so we could walk in it. They got really cold and slipped a few times. But they just laughed and laughed. I couldn't get them to come in until their hands started to hurt. Definitely gotta get some mittens. We ran errands, a little scarey with the icy roads, but we had to see if it was snowing everywhere .
I even started feeling a little Christmas Spirit. It seems hard to come by this year. I've had bronchitus the last couple of weeks. I started feeling sick when dear husband and I were in Richfield watching the 2A basketball preveiw. Here I was with an actual opportunity to shop, and all I wanted to do was sleep in the back of the car. It was still great to see dear Son play so well. He even got player of the game for the first game against Manti. Unfortunately the team isn't playing that great. I hope we can get a win this week against Panguitch. Go Cowboys !!!!
Yesterday I wrapped some of the presents, dear husband helped (that never happens), I think getting a few things under the tree helped my mood some. Then Miracle of Miracles, snow, lots of wonderful Christmas snow. I even took the girls to the store to buy baking stuff !!!! Yes I'm going to make my mom's chocolate chip cookies, and make my fudge (okay Aunt Denises' fudge), I'm not getting carried away with banana bread and bundt cakes or anything but its a start. Maybe if I fill up the house with some familiar childhood smells it will start feeling like Christmas.
