This is
Kylee, She spent most of the other day in her tutu ! Actually
Mati and
Kylee spent most of their day in their tutus ! But don't be
decieved these girls are tomboys in training.
Mati has a big dump truck, and they love to play basketball and dig in the dirt.

I put this picture on, well because it turned out really good. I'll probably send it to
shutterfly for a big print. Isn't she pretty?

Anyway, back on subject. Our favorite thing to do together is to go hiking. When your a two year old, hiking doesn't have to be up a major mountain or anything. We've hiked to the grocery store and around the block etc........

I used to be the one doing all the hiking while they rode comfortably in the wagon. But, now between them, they weigh about 60 lbs. Grandma just isn't in that kind of shape. The last time I pulled them around the block twice, I couldn't walk for two days.

Now, we go for "Hikes", most people would call it a walk. But somehow the girls think a Hike is a much bigger deal. I started them by hiking up the hill at the park. We explore the ant hills, there's a cactus with
prickleys, sometimes we spot a lizard. We can see the library and the hospital from the top of the hill, and the swimming pool.

A couple of days ago we "hiked" all the way to the grocery store. It's three long blocks from here. The incentive to go was a free cookie, a balloon, and a ride on the Merry go round outside the store. It's like the best toddler activity in town.

Yesterday we hiked the "Squaw Trail", Okay we hiked the bottom of the Squaw Trail, the toddler hike gets us to where the trail starts. There are resting benches, and rocks and holes. It took about 45 minutes to explore.

The most amazing part of our Hikes, is that the girls actually like to walk. I keep expecting them to start crying and begging me to carry them.
Mati even fell and and scraped her knee. As soon as I kissed it better, off we went. Even better they take the best naps after our hikes.
Awww the fresh air and sunshine. Suggestions for hike ideas
wll be accepted.

They look so cute! Over by the golf course is a nice, low-impact trail around the edge of it. Beautiful view, and lots of places to explore.
