This and That and Nothing.

I haven't blogged for awhile. I've been spending way too much time over on facebook, working on my farm. I've tried to limit my farm time. But just like the real thing, farms are a lot of work. Dear Daughter got me down on the farm, and now dear son is involved. I keep reminding myself the moderation is good in all things, including farm town. If you've never checked out farm town, and you do so after reading this blog, I issue a "warning". It may look stupid to you upon your first look, but if you start to play and your very competitive, you will be hooked and you will spend way too much time farming.

The last couple of weeks have gone so quickly. The girls and I have been to the park and have been to the pool a couple of times. I can't believe Kylee will be 3 in a couple of weeks. I can't turn my back on either one of them. Sometimes I think they team up one distracts me while the other one gets into the bird cage, or pulls a chair over to get on the cupboard, or some other naughty acitivity. I try to keep them busy constantly. Bored two year olds are no fun.

I've also been busy trying to get a new business going. Since leaving my "other" job, we've been struggling a little every month. Plus paying for son's acitivities, between summer basketball camps and games, plus Football camp coming up etc. etc. It's also his Senior year coming up, with all the expenses that entails. He will be turning 18 in a couple of weeks, I can't believe that in a year he will be leaving on his mission. All this costs money. So were trying something that will still allow me to stay home with the girls and hopefully make up the deficit.

Allison's Pantry is a company out of Nothern Utah. A friend has been doing it for a couple of years and I've ordered food from them off and on whenever its been available. She is getting overwhelmed with trying to keep up with her young children and other responsibilities. She asked me if I would be interested in taking over her business. It was like an answer to prayer. I hope it will do as well for me as it has for her. Allison sells food storage items, but also carries restaurant quality foods and meats, as well as mixes, doughs, and other bulk items. It's kind of like going to Costco without having to go to Costco for bulk food items. Everything is delivered one a month by truck. My job is getting out the catalogs, accepting shipment, delivering the shipment and collecting the money. If I make enough to pay for food I use, and hopefully a little more, it will be worth it.

So that's my catch up. Oh except for I've now replaced my Dancing with the Stars obsession with my So you think you can Dance obsession. Wow the group this year is awesome. I couldn't decide who to vote for. They're just all so good. I'm hoping a favorite will emerge this next week.

I'm glad you finally posted again. I wondered where you were! Good to know that you were just at the "farm". I better not start, I'm too addicted to the computer as it is! When are you going to Grand Junction? We don't move there until the 27th.... but you know you always have a space in our 900 square foot apartment, it just might be a really "small" space!!! :)
