We finally got it done. A fire is built in the new firepit, designed and built by dear son, to celebrate his Eagle ceremony. We all gathered in Johnson Canyon for this great occasion. It was in the neatest cove at the church ranch. Before the ceremony started two Eagles flew over the cove. It was really beautiful.

It was really fun to see the boys join the others in the Eagle Nest. I wish his brother could have been here with him. 18 years ago we celebrated the first Eagle ceremony in our family. I had forgotten what a special event these are.

Jordans mentor, Frank Swapp, made each of the boys one of his custom fish poles. He was wonderful in his support for Jordan. If it hadn't been for his encouragement and good ideas, I'm not sure we would have gotten here.

Two brand new Eagle Scouts. Jordan Tyler Jones and Kade Shakespear. I'm glad they were able to do this together.

Dad gets pinned by his boy.

Bishop Glazier spoke about living your life without regrets. It was funny and wise.
He created his own "second class nest", for all those like him who hadn't quite made it to Eagle.
Those who have regrets for not making the goal. Nobody ever regretted becoming an Eagle Scout, Lots of people regret not making it to Eagle. Nobody ever regretted serving a mission, lots of people regret not going. Make a goal and achieve the goal, otherwise life can be full of regrets. Whether it be education, scouting, church, or personal, don't look back and have regrets.

Mati and Jordan stand in front of Jordans pit and enjoy the evening.

Now this is one Patriotic Picture. Two boys in their priesthood Uniforms.

Jordan poses at home before going out to Johnson for his Eagle Ceremony. That's a lot of merit badges.

A big Surpise. A promised kept. We told Jordan he could have his own rifle when he earned his Eagle. Congratulations son. Please don't shoot yourself in the foot. I know you can't wait to get out in the hills with your own gun. No more borrowing guns to go hunting. We know you'll act responsibly. Your an Eagle scout after all.
