This and That !

Dear Son is kind of a dare devil. He loves to be active, and sometimes pushes things to the limit.
Saturday, he went to the lake with the Scouts.

He was riding on an inner tube behind a boat and crashed. The big wipeout sent his head skipping across the water like a rock.

It caused his ear drum to explode, leaving him with a big hole in his ear drum, deaf in his left ear and in a lot of pain.
Remember, he just got the cast off his arm. Now he's looking at 2 to 3 months before his ear heals. Hopefully it will heal just fine. If it doesn't he's looking at a skin graft to repair the hole in his ear drum.
Sometimes he tries to come across as a tough guy. He waited until he got home from the lake to cry.
His family and friends know he's just a big softy.

I finished reading Breaking Dawn. Would I give it 5 stars.....hmmmm. Maybe 4 stars. I just thought the middle drug a little bit. I couldn't wait to get out of the whole "Jacob" part. I just thought the whole exchange between him and his pack was a little off. I mean it definitely went against "Sams" character for him to be so wishy, washy. Talk about mood swings, nearly every character in the book was changing course every other page. Was the end satisfying to me?? Yes, I thought it was full of suspense and wrapped up a lot of things. There are still a lot of unanswered questions for the future. I know the author is planning another book from Edwards point of veiw. One critic thought maybe it was a bit much to publish "The Host" and "Breaking Dawn", in the same year. "The Host" was so well written maybe Stephanie Meyers didn't give "Breaking Dawn" the plot attention it deserved.

I was on my feet last night screaming for the men's free swim relay team. Way to go USA. I couldn't believe it. Despite everyone saying there was no way they could beat the French. I just knew after seeing the heats, that the USA could and would win. A finger touch people. I've watched the slow motion replay about a 100 times. Its got to be the most exciting finish ever. The World Record was "Smashed"!!!!! I can't wait to see how Phelps does tonight in the 200 meter free final.

I'm really worried about women's gymnastics. The world champions lost two girls to injuries at the last minute. They looked amazing on beam, but the other events were shakey. The Men's team is still in it for a Bronze. This just might not be the Olympics for USA gymnastics. The men's basketball team, the Redeem team, is marching on. I haven't had a chance to watch them play yet. My men's beach Volleyball team made it out of the first round. China's ahead in the medal count right now, but there is a lot of Olympics left. We always leave the world behind in track and field.

GO USA!!!!!

Okay, so that made me totally want to read Breaking Dawn... only a few more days and I'll have it! I'm glad you are such an olympics fan. Lane and I have watched every night, and we both jumped up cheering when the men won that relay. Isn't Michael Phelps amazing. I told Alisa that maybe should could find him, convert him, and marry him! I'm excited to watch women's gymnastics tonight- lets cross our fingers!

p.s. that website is blurb.com

I love your blogs! So, I can not believe Jordan and his dare devil tactics, granted he didn't do it on purpose but wow, wow. I will pray every day for his ear to heal on its own. wow.
I am glad you finished breaking dawn, now we can talk about it. Call me on Sunday or something. Love you

Dear Kimmy, Jordan's gone bow hunting this weekend with the Crams. I'm praying he doesn't shoot himeself or someone else with an arrow. He took his ear drops with him. His ear still feels pretty stuffy. But he can hear a little bit out of it. I don't think he'll be going swimming anytime soon. School starts next week and his first golf tournament. :) Love Mom
