I Love Them All !!!!!!

Okay, I thought last night was great !!! I laughed and laughed, and Smiled and Smiled. Not something I've been doing a lot lately. Turning "52" has been a real bummer for me. Getting old isn't for sissy's my grandma used to say. I'm kind of a big sissy.
I wouldn't send anyone home tonight. I think thats kind of mean, especially since they've had to learn two dances for this week. The one who gets sent home tonight won't even get to do their second dance. I thought everyone brought something to the show. Some of them couldn't dance worth beans, but I can't either so I could relate to them. Susan Lucci is the most famous soap star in the world and has millions of people who buy her stuff on the home shopping network. She really doesn't need this show. She won't get sent home tonight either because of her huge fan base. I just think she is just doing it for the fun and the challenge. You've got to admire that, millions of people watch this show, it takes courage. I thought the judges were kind of hard on Chef Rocco. His routine really wasn't that bad, and he danced with such a big smile. The comic guy should have kept his eye patch on. He was terrible, but he was so funny who cared. Poor Ettata (sp) she deserved a better partner this year, I keep hoping she'll win one of these times. Unfortunately it won't be this year with Jeff Ross.
Okay, because I'm a big "So ya think ya can Dance" fan, I'm kind of partial to Lacey Scwimmer.
I wonder if the show knows how many people would vote just because she's in the show. I thought she and Lance Bass had great chemistry and the routine was really fun. So right now they are my favorites. That could change. Misty May really surprised me and so did Brook Burke, they have some potential. Toni Braxton was beautiful and I never rule out Julianne Hough and anybody she partners.
Wouldn't it have been great if they could have gotten "Benji Swimmer" on the show too......... Thats Laceys brother. He won SYTYCD a couple years ago. I'm looking foreward to the day when the professional dancers are as famous as the celebritys.

"Dancing With the Stars" kicked off its seventh season with a bang, as the 13 celebrity contestants performed the first of two routines on the first night of the three-night season premiere. Here now, a look at how the celebrities fared:
Cody Linley
Despite being the youngest contestant ever on the show, the "Hannah Montana" star exuded confidence and charisma as he twirled around the floor with partner Julianne Hough, herself the youngest "DWTS" champion ever. There's something genuinely compelling about watching the teenager take his turn on the dance floor; his easy smile and exuberance definitely shine through. But, this competition is going to be an education for him, as his cha cha cha lacked the element of seduction and sensuousness you'd want in this dance step. Rest assured, this kid's only going to get better.

Rocco DiSpirito
The chef-turned-reality-TV-mess labored through his dance, displaying some heavy feet and tentative rhythm. You get the sense that this type of dancing doesn't come easy for him, as he seemed more pre-occupied with getting the steps right than with enjoying the moment with his partner. The judges were certainly on-the-money when they remarked that he lacked "finesse." Rocco's got to lay off the pasta. It seems to be weighing him down.
Score: 14/30
Toni Braxton
The tiny R&B diva wasn't afraid to show off her buff body or her natural musicality, as she took to the floor with a revealing costume and an aggressive look in her eye. Her version of the cha cha cha was sultry, showy and self-assured. And you can tell that she's already got great chemistry with her partner. If the positive reception she received from the judges is any indication, Toni's going to be one of the dancers to beat in this competition. Her look on the floor is fierce. Competition, watch out.
Score: 22/30
Maurice Greene
The naturally charming two-time Olympic gold medalist did more posing than dancing when it came time for him to cut the rug. He may not have performed the most intricate steps of the night, but he definitely displayed genuine presence with his imposing physique and his huge grin. He'll need to work on being more light of foot, but he's got the personality thing down pat. Let's see if the former World's Fastest Man can handle the mambo tomorrow night.
Score: 18/30
Brooke Burke
This mother of four ain't afraid to show her stuff, sporting one of the night's sexiest costumes. With some seriously striking legs, Brooke demonstrated that she's completely in control of her body. Her dancing showcased a supple torso and elegant lines. Brooke may not have been one of the followed storylines heading into tonight's premiere, but her obvious natural talent for this type of dancing is going to make her one to watch.
Score: 23/30
Ted McGinley
With a matinee-friendly profile straight out of the '50s, Ted's got the image befitting the classic foxtrot step. Unfortunately, the veteran actor was stiff as a board. He seemed to struggle through the routine, unable to generate any flow across the dance floor. It's not enough for him to look suave and sophisticated; he's got to show that he can feel the music and not be so nervous.
Score: 18/30
Lance Bass
You would think that this ex-boy band member would find this competition easy, since Lance spent so much of his career performing choreographed steps. And you know what? He's clearly one of the most confident, polished performers in the competition. Easy-going and self-effacing off the dance floor, on it he's spirited, spunky and somewhat naughty in expressions and gestures. The verdict? It's not going to be "Bye Bye Bye" anytime soon.
Score: 22/30
Cloris Leachman
The oldest competitor ever on "DWTS" is no shrinking violet. The 82-year-old actress will become, I am certain, a fan favorite; she's simply got too much personality to keep confined to the dance floor, even if she doesn't have the most pliant or agile of bodies among the competition. We love her humor and her courage, not to mention her foul mouth, which was on full display when her scores were revealed. I'm not going lie: If this golden-oldie spitfire can manage to stick around a few weeks, she's poised to become one of the biggest storylines on television this fall.
Score: 16/30
Jeff Ross
Who picked this guy's powder blue costume? The stand-up comedian looked a little paunchy and dated. But at least the '70s throwback outfit took our attention away from some woeful dancing. His moves were ponderous, and he looked clearly out of his element, barely mustering a smile during the course of the night. Hopefully it's not too late for him to bring some of his celebrated edginess to his ballroom performances.
Score: 12/30
Kim Kardashian
There's good reason why the reality TV star's one of the headliners this season; she's simply got a look that seems just right for the dance floor. And she didn't disappoint last night, looking every bit the throwback Hollywood starlet and bringing much needed glamour and mystery to the competition. Her dancing will eventually catch up to her presence on the dance floor, but she did show an ability to capture our attention, even if it wasn't necessarily with her dance steps. Not to worry, Kim K. fans. Solid dancing, combined with unmatched elegance, ensures she'll be a strong competitor.
Score: 19/30
Susan Lucci
The iconic daytime diva is a tiger as Erica Kane on "All My Children," but on the dance floor she's a nervous nelly! Utterly timid and seemingly overwhelmed by the moment, she exuded none of the fire and raw emotion we've come to expect from her performances on the small screen. Instead, her version of the cha cha cha was reserved and shy. And unfortunately, she turned in, quite possibly, the most boring routine of the night. I hope she can turn things around quickly, if she sticks around.
Score: 15/30
Misty May-Treanor
Who knew that the beach volleyball player could move so well? Physically sturdy and clearly athletic, she brought strength and vitality to the foxtrot. And she's seems particularly well-matched with her partner both in terms of physical appearance, carriage and temperament. This was one of the more pleasant suprises of the night. The self-professed "jock" could be a keeper.
Score: 21/30
Warren Sapp
The former NFL All-Pro made a name for himself by being a monster on the field and a jokester off of it. Now he can boast that he's got some serious dance chops. Make no mistake: He's going to be one of the favorites this season. Not only does he wield some seriously camera-friendly charisma on the dance floor, but for a big guy, he's surprisingly agile and quick. What is it with NFL stars and ballroom dancing?
Score: 21/30
The Scorecard:
Who won the judges: Brooke Burke, Lance Bass and Toni Braxton
Who didn't cut it: Jeff Ross, Susan Lucci and Rocco DiSpirito
Who won the audience: Cloris Leachman and Warren Sapp

I love that you are such a fan! We love it too, and I also love that Lacey is on the show... and i was a big NSyNC fan! My favorite thing is that Addy loves to watch it too, and doesn't tire of saying "dance with me daddy, dance with me!"
